Let’s start the semester together to build a stronger campus community! Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, 没有一天休息,” MLK 一天 is the only federal holiday designated as a National 服务日 to encour年龄 all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

服务日 Event

Join us for our 2024 MLK 服务日 sponsored by the Office of 全球网络赌博平台 & Activities and Sodexo at our Blackwood Campus on January 12. This event honors the life of Dr. King and his impact on the lives of Americans. We are looking for volunteers of all backgrounds including students, 教师, and staff to assist us in assembling bagged lunches that will be donated to Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. 通过实践, engaging services activities such as this, we celebrate the legacy of the man that reminds us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve!”

  • 10:00 a.m. – Welcome – CCC Administrative 工作人员
  • 10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Assembling sandwiches/utensil pack年龄s and inspirational mess年龄s in each lunch bag
  • 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. – Lunch provided by Sodexo and 全球网络赌博平台 and Activities
  • 12:45 p.m. – Clean up and reflection of service work completed
  • 1:00 p.m. – Designated staff and students will deliver lunches to Cathedral Kitchen

Cathedral Kitchen’s mission is to help people out of food insecurity and champion their pursuit of stability and prosperity. They provide nutritious meals for food insecure residents of Camden and the surrounding areas. Food served at Cathedral Kitchen is cooked on the premises, plated and served at the table; there is no “soup line”. The hot meal consists of an entrée, a vegetable or salad, a side dish and a bever年龄.
